On December 1st of last year, the Spanish Association for the Defence of Water Quality (ADECAGUA) held a one-day seminar in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Affairs (MAGRAMA). The aim of the seminar was to analyse the new Royal Decree 817/2015, of September 11th, which sets out criteria for monitoring and evaluating the condition of surface water, whilst also establishing environmental quality standards.
The event featured the participation of leading members of the General Directorate of Water, and the General Directorate of Coastal and Marine Sustainability. The seminar was inaugurated by Liana Ardiles, Director General of Water and Alicia Castro, Vice-president of the CSIC.
