Current waste management systems seek increasingly automated processes. To complement automated loading and unloading systems inside tunnels, Zitrón Manutención offers an automatic system for the opening and closing of tunnels. This makes for safer operation and avoids, insofar as possible, the presence of operators in areas considered to be high risk, due to the movement of loads and machinery.
In recent years, side by side with the development of new composting technologies, different tunnel opening and closing systems have been designed. Enhancement criteria have focused on greater mechanical resistance to cater for larger free passage dimensions in tunnels, greater air-tightness, improved reliability and enhanced anti-corrosive properties of materials. The galvanised steel or aluminium used for the first closing systems have long since been replaced by high-performance stainless steels (AISI 316, AISI 316L, AISI 316Ti, etc.) that meet the most stringent quality standards.
Current innovation centres on continuously improving the features outlined above, achieving greater automation, and integrating opening and closure systems into a global process management system. Zitrón Manutención believes that these trends will continue for the foreseeable future and the company is focusing its product development initiatives accordingly.
