In September of this year, Untha Iberica and Mexican company Promotora Ambiental-gen Industrial (PASA) entered into an agreement for the supply of  Latin America’s first plant for the production of RDF in a single step – Untha One Step Solution. PASA is Mexico’s leading waste management company and serves the commercial, industrial, residential and municipal markets. It has a market share of over 40%, operates in 38 cities and manages a total of 27 sanitary landfills.

Listed on the Mexican stock exchange, PASA has become the environmental benchmark in Mexico. It is a promoter of environmental culture and boasts widespread social acknowledgement, which enables it to continue being a leading provider of innovative environmental solutions. PASA operates throughout most of Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica and Belize. The company has focused its international expansion programme on Central and South America.

The new plant will be located at the PASA facilities in Hermosillo, Sonora. In the first phase, it will produce 12 tonnes per hour of 60 mm RDF for supply to a nearby cement factory. The unit to be supplied is the XR3000-C, featuring two 113 kW motors.
