New at IFAT 2022: Lindner’s Latest Generation of Shredders, the Urraco 4000 Series

Novedad en IFAT 2022: la última generación de trituradoras de Lindner, la serie Urraco 4000

Uniquely versatile, maintenance-efficient & with an electric option – this is how Lindner’s new Urraco 4000 model series makes an impact. Available with a diesel or energy- efficient electric drive, its unique fast-exchange system (FX) and ease of access to the maintenance and drive compartment enable maximum operation times.

Around the world, there are increasing demands for the responsible and careful use of our resources – including energy. Machines and system solutions used in the waste and recycling industry, both mobile and stationary, play a key role in this respect. After all, it is only possible to create valuable secondary raw materials from waste and recycling processes by using them.

With its 2000 mm shaft length, the new mobile shredder series Urraco 4000 offers a powerful mid-point between the Urraco 75 and Urraco 95 shredder series, which have been industry favourites for years. The new Urraco 4000 series highlights include an optional energy-efficient E-drive with Powerlock quick connectors, a great variety of mobility options, such as a base frame, tracked chassis, or semi-trailer, and many maintenance simplifications, including the shaft fast-exchange system (FX)..

The E-models of the Lindner’s new Urraco 4000 series are not only the answer to demands made by the EU, but also from the waste and recycling industry worldwide for CO2-friendly mobile shredding solutions. The two E-models offer either a base frame (Urraco 4000) or a tracked chassis (Urraco 4000 EK), and in the development stages, two things were vital: energy efficiency and high performance. Moreover, it is incredibly simple to connect the machines to the mains via Powerlock quick connectors.

In the realm of waste wood processing, the additional use of the Zeta Star 4000 E screen, also electrically operated, ensures optimal grain sizes at all times. The resulting defined grains can improve the marketing and value of the output material, contributing significantly to optimising profits.

To ensure better uptimes and high throughput, high-performance shredders are required to have low operating costs, optimum feeding options, and low maintenance requirements. The models in the Urraco 4000 series fully rise to the challenge, through easy access to the maintenance points and the drive compartment, among other things.

Should a shaft change be necessary, this can be carried out in less than three hours, thanks to the unique Lindner fast-exchange system. The extended working area, which is created by the combination of shaft length and axle spacing, allows problem-free filling by a wheel loader. The optimised intake capacity, combined with the patented twin-shaft cutting system, also enables the efficient and easy shredding of bulky and large-volume materials. This makes it another essential cornerstone for high productivity.
