Investment of €6.8 million to serve a population of 40,000 .
At the end of March, the Regional Government of Galicia inaugurated and put into operation the new O Grove wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and general main sewer lines. This infrastructure required investment of €6.8 million and has the capacity to serve a population of 40,000. The construction work was carried out by Espina Obras Hidráulicas S. A.
The work included the construction of a new WWTP to replace the previous obsolete facility, a main sewer network of over 2,000 m in length, new pumping stations in Puerto and Terra de Puerto and a subsea outfall which extends to the estuary.
