Sadyt delivers Ashdod desalination plant in Israel

On December 25th 2016, Sadyt delivered the Ashdod seawater desalination plant to Mekorot, Israel’s national water company. The delivery was made subsequent to the successful carrying out of test runs, which took place over 28 consecutive days in each half of the plant.

During this period, over 19 million cubic metres of desalinated water was produced for human consumption. The plant has a flow of 384.000 m3/day and boasts one of the world’s largest ultrafiltration pretreatment facilities. The consortium responsible for the design and construction of the Ashdod desalination plant is made up of Sadyt (66.6%) and Minrav (33.4%).
