SOGAMA: Setting trends in Europe

December 2018 - January 2019

The company has completed the first stage of the extension to its environmental complex in Cerceda, with the commissioning of a new facility to recover materials from conventional waste. This facility is a prime example of environmental innovation, and will quadruple recovery for recycling and enable the technical “zero-waste-to-landfill” target to be achieved. In parallel to this, an industrial composting plant has been built and SOGAMA has made considerable progress in its domestic composting programme, to which over 280 organisations have subscribed. The SOGAMA action plan has been implemented with a number of successive environmental enhancements and the company has invested 47 million euro in these initiatives in recent years..
