Technical assistance for the development of the water and wastewater infrastructure in Olt County in Romania

The regional water operator, Compania de Apa Olt S.A., has awarded Eptisa a new contract to provide technical assistance services for the development of the water and wastewater infrastructure in Olt County until 2021.

More specifically, Episa will prepare the financing application, supporting documents and tender dossiers in order to achieve the necessary documents to obtain co-financing from the European Union within the SOP Environment 2014-2020, allowing the continuation of the local strategy related to the development of water and wastewater sector in Olt County and achieving the targets assumed by Romania through the EU Accession Treaty.

The project consists of investments for the treatment and distribution and wastewater collection which will be implemented for Olt County in urban and rural areas and will connect all citizens in these areas to the water systems, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the EU directives. The investments will envisage the improvement of the water supply system, sewage collection and wastewater treatment.

The main activities carried out by Eptisa will consist of:

-Elaboration of the financing application and supporting documents (feasibility study, financial analysis, institutional analysis, environmental impact assessment, study on industrial water discharges, sludge management study, procurement strategy, geotechnical study, topographical survey, flooding study, hydro geological study, water quality and wastewater quality studies, technical expertise etc.), including providing support until approval;

-Elaboration of the tender dossiers for service, works and supply contracts and providing support during the tendering process;

-Organisation of two workshops for the presentation of the feasibility study and financing application focusing on the proposed investments;

-Provide assistance as designer during the works execution, in accordance with the provisions of Law 10/1995
